Our Committees

Work in our chapter is divided through several committees, each under the oversight of the chapter at large and each devoted to a particular set of tasks. Whether you love talking to people, want to get out there to meet our community with dignity or you prefer to work behind the scenes, there's a committee for you! 

• Student Government Committee

  • Through the Associated Students at the University of New Mexico (ASUNM), the Student Government Committee is responsible for advocating people-oriented policy and projects in our university at the administrative level.

• Canvassing Committee

  • In collaboration with our parent chapter, Albuquerque DSA, the Canvassing Committee works to promote electoral engagement and spread awareness of candidates endorsed by our city chapter.

• Communications Committee

  • Through public facing channels, the Communications Committee works to establish our political presence on campus by building engagement and facilitating transparency between our chapter and the university

• Mutual Aid Committee

  • Through events like care package assembly and distribution, the Mutual Aid Committee aims to meet the material needs of our community in and around UNM.
