What is Democratic Socialism?

• Socialism is a system in which the power lies in workers and our communities instead of the wealthy elite. DSA is a big tent organization that contains everyone that believes in that vision.

How is YDSA different from DSA?

• YDSA is the youth and campus section of the Democratic Socialists of America. All YDSA members are DSA members; if you're a student or campus worker at UNM, joining DSA allows you to become a member of UNM-YDSA.

When/Where Are Meetings?

• Information on meetings can be found on our event calendar, which will be updated regularly. If something doesn't look right, shoot us an email and we'll get back to you!

How Can I Join?

• If you're a student or campus worker at UNM, you can either reach out to our email or show up at one of our meetings! You can join DSA here; if you cannot afford to pay dues, you may apply for a dues waiver.

Do I Need to Be a Member to Get Involved?

• Absolutely not! Come to a meeting, help out and see if it's right for you. Membership is only required to vote on chapter resolutions and run for elected positions.
